This article will inform you whether you need to use your xIDENTITY basic data (phone number, name, etc.) and explains whether and how you can change them.
1. Can I cancel my xIDENTITY?
Yes, that is quite possible. To cancel your xIDENTITY , you must submit a legally valid revocation request .
The following options are available to you:
By phone at +43 1 715 20 60 (Please note: Only possible with the revocation password!)
By e-mail through a digitally signed PDF to hilfe@a-trust.at or via https://www.online-kuendigen.at

2. Can I change my name for xIDENTITY?
A name change for an activated xIDENTITY is not possible because subsequent changes to the certificate content are not permitted. A name change therefore requires the activation of a new xIDENTITY. You can find all the options here.

A revocation is not necessary as long as your phone number does not change. This is automatically triggered by the reactivation.
3. How do I change my phone number for xIDENTITY?
There are two ways to change your xIDENTITY phone number:
With your existing phone number
Without your existing phone number (e.g. if you should have lost your phone)
3.1 Step-by-step guide: How to change your xIDENTITY phone number with an existing phone number
Step 1: If you still have your previous SIM card and can use it to receive SMS/TAN messages, simply request a new xIDENTITY for your new phone number using the old number. To do this, log in here with the existing access data of your xIDENTITY .
Step 2: Enter your new phone number and a password you have chosen . You will then receive an activation code by SMS .
Step 3: To complete the activation , it is necessary to accept the signature contract and the terms and conditions of A-Trust and to confirm the revocation of your previous xIDENTITY .
3.2 How to change your xIDENTITY phone number without an existing phone number
If you no longer have your previous number at the time of the change , you will need to reapply for your xIDENTITY .

If your mobile phone is stolen or lost, it is absolutely necessary to revoke your previous xIDENTITY ! This is the only way you can actively prevent the misuse of your data!
