A-Trust: The management of the A-Trust app is becoming even more digital, secure and user-friendly
The Austrian administrative platform and associated digital services are undergoing comprehensive modernisation. The focus is on the introduction of the new ‘ID Austria’ app, which will replace the existing ‘Digitales Amt’ app in summer 2025. This will make the use of digital identity even easier and more convenient for citizens.
What's new?
The ‘ID Austria’ app offers an improved overview, focuses on login and signature functions, and is optimally designed for use on smartphones.

The switch from the old app to the new one will happen automatically – users just need to perform an update.
The app is future-proof and prepared for upcoming European developments such as the EUDI wallet.
More digital services
The platform is continuously being developed. New digital services and ID cards such as the digital driving licence, digital proof of age and digital registration certificate make everyday life more convenient. ID Austria acts as a secure key to numerous administrative and business services.
Legal framework: Digital Austria Act
The modernisation is based on the ‘Digital Austria Act’, which sets out 117 measures and 36 principles for the digitalisation of Austria. The focus is on data protection, accessibility and interdepartmental cooperation.
