Content

With the spring release 2024, XiTrust was enhanced with a new feature: Adobe to MOXIS. The plug-in now allows direct transmission of PDF documents to MOXIS. This manual provides an overview of the installation and use of the MOXIS extension.

1. Technical details

The Adobe to MOXIS plugin is currently (as of 09/2024) available in English and German.

The following versions of Adobe Acrobat Reader are currently supported by the plugin:

  • Adobe Acrobat Reader 64 Bit

  • Adobe Acrobat Reader 32 Bit

  • Adobe Acrobat Standard 64 Bit

  • Adobe Acrobat 64 Bit

Installation is possible via a centrally controlled file rollout.

2. Setup and installation

To install the plugin, please download it from the XiTrust website.

XiTip
Depending on the Acrobat Reader version you are using, you will need to download either the 32-bit or 64-bit version.

2.1. Step-by-step guide: Installing the plug-in

Step 1: Download and extract the version that is right for you (see figure 1). Please note: You need to specify the appropriate path for the respective version of Acrobat Reader. Therefore, please use the following paths.

  • For 64-bit: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\plug_ins\

  • For 32-bit: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Reader\plug_ins\moxis_plugin

  • For 32-bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader\plug_ins\moxis_plugin

XiTip
Please note: Currently (as of 09/24), you may receive a Windows Defender warning. Please continue the installation anyway.

Step 2: Open a document of your choice in Adobe Acrobat Reader as usual. Now navigate in the menu (see figure 2 [1]) to the Plugins tab (see figure 2 [2]) > Moxis (see figure 2 [3]) > Acrobat to MOXIS and click on the menu item (see figure 2 [4]).
