Why are some orders shown as blocked when I want to sign them?

Content

Especially when multiple signers have been added to an iteration, it can sometimes happen that jobs are displayed as blocked. This article shows why and suggests possible solutions.

1. Why are some jobs to be signed displayed as blocked?

If several signees have been added to an iteration, it may be that a job that should actually be signed (see figure 1 [1]) is displayed as ‘blocked’ (see figure 1 [2]) for one or other of them.

This is the desired behaviour, because as soon as several signees have been assigned to an iteration, only one of them should be able to sign at a time. The signees are ranked according to the first come, first served principle. The order remains locked for other signees for this period. The default blocking time is set to thirty minutes.

XiTip
The length of the blocking time can be shortened or extended as needed; however, it cannot be cancelled for the reasons stated above. However, a change to the blocking time requires an adjustment by XiTrust. If you are considering adjusting the blocking time, please contact your XiTrust representative.
