[ADMIN FAQ] What are tenants and how can I use them? (optional)
Content
MOXIS offers the option of creating customised templates per client. These so-called tenants are basically entities according to which email templates and other templates can be categorised. Before we look at this in detail, however, we should take a closer look at the terminology surrounding the topic of tenants.
1 Clarification of terms relating to the topic of tenants
1 What is a tenant (client)?
A tenant is a part of a company. This can be, for example, a department, group, team or even a branch.

Clients are created for you by XiTrust. So if you are interested in working with clients, please get in touch with your XiTrust contact person. We will be happy to advise you. Please note: MOXIS Enterprise is a prerequisite for the creation of tenants.
2 What is the default of the instance?
The default instance is the standard template that MOXIS automatically delivers. This can be an e-mail, a signature profile or the branding of a specific template.
3 What is a customised template?
A customised template is a template that has been created specifically for a client.
1.1 Use Case Tenants: How to optimally utilise tenants?
Problem: A banking group based in the DACH region has three branches: Bank 1 Österreich, Bank 2 Detuschland and Bank 3 Schweiz. Despite the cross-border patronage of the parent bank, different laws apply in the individual branches, which means that signatures, email templates and signature orders sent to external signatories in all three countries must include different parameters. The banking group could, but does not want to introduce a separate MOXIS instance for each individual branch.
Solution: Three tenants are created in the main instance of the parent company, while the parent company continues to use the standard instance (see figure 1). The tenants are created by the XiTrust team in collaboration with the parent company. The templates are ‘attached’ to the parent company. The advantage is that no further MOXIS instances need to be purchased and that everything runs together in one system.

1.2 Which templates can be customised?
The following areas can be configured in MOXIS with the help of tenants:

In addition to the customisation of areas, tenants can also be assigned to different processes in process management.
